Lazarus 1.0.2 Escape key and DBGrid

I'm talking about a working application which I now compile with Lazarus 1.0.2 under WinXP.
The produced binary (the .exe file) acts unexpected when the focus is on a DBGrid and I press Escape key nothing happens. I move the focus to an Edit and then press Escape key, it works.

I think this was solved in trunk (r38836).
See issue #22916.
