{$R } problem

everytime I include a compiled .rc file.

I used windres to compile an .rc to a res

and incude before begin the main lazarus project file. I get

MapMaker.lpr(16,1) Error: Can't call the linker, switching to external linking
MapMaker.lpr(16,1) Fatal: There were 1 errors compiling module, stopping

then it highlights 'end.'

help...

The format should be {$R *.res} I think.

I get errors if I specify an actual filename in there.
