Kgrid question

Hi,
trying to use kgrid and I am having a issue with editing memo fields in PostgreSQL.
in the dbgrid these fields show up as [MEMO].

The kgrid lets me edit the field, but it never posts it back to the database, the post and cancel icons remain greyed out.
I didn't see a option about memo fields, so I am probably doing something wrong :-)
