VirtualStringTree and Linux?
« on: September 13, 2012, 04:27:33 pm »
Hi,
I am currently porting/with a bit of rewrite a delphi app that uses VirtualStringTree, and
I was wondering when I go to compile it on linux with QT or GTK2 widget sets will it install ok?
I remember in the past I had trouble getting VirtualStringTree to install on Linux with QT or GTK2
widget sets.

If I forget, I always use the latest stable 32bit version of Lazarus and FPC. At the time of this signature that is Laz 3.0RC2 and FPC 3.2.2
OS: Windows 10 64 bit

I have VirtualStringTree installed on Linux GTK2 64 bit. Works fine except this drag and drop bug:
http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=22820
I think you need VST source from svn trunk to install it on 64 bit linux

I 'll be releasing a VirtualTreeview realease soon.

It will work with Linux also

@Dibo:

I could not reproduce the bug in my enviroment but since my linux installation can not acess internet i could not check if it's a regression in recent changes in Lazarus or VTV

I'm in process of updating my computer and OS so i can check the bug and hopefully release a fixed version
