XP: double-click onto LCL component causes probs
« on: December 28, 2005, 03:42:08 pm »
Hi all!

Much time gone since my last visit, but many things got done and Lazarus seems to work much more stable under Win32 now.

Nevertheless I get an error every time ia double click onto ANY LCL component (button, label, checkbox,...). The following picture will describe better:

(1): The component editor of class "TDefaultComponentEditor" has created the following error: "The method couldn't be found. Please repair the shown error in the message window. "

(3): Error: Unit not found: Classes

I am working with WinXP/FPC2.0.0/newest getable version of Lazarus through SVN.

Maybe anyone knows how to fix.
Thanks for your help.

Did install the fpc sources?

Did you set the path of the FPC Source directory in the environment options?

Does your FPC Source directory contain rtl\win32\classes.pp?

I thought the source was released together with the FPC-binaries (and I am sure in earlier version of compiler it was), but I now downloaded the FPC 2.0.2 sources which work fine. Thanks Vincent.
