[solved] Lazarus >IDE freeze on startup. Shows only blank windows

I have Lazarus installed on both a Windows 7 desktop, and a Ubuntu laptop.
Both have been working fine for over a year, but a few weeks ago the one on the linux laptop stopped working all of a sudden.
When i start the IDE, the splash screen shows, and when all the wondows appear, they are empty, nothing in them and then the IDE freezes.
At first i thought it was just running slowly, so i left it for about two hours, but nothing changed.
I have to kill it from the terminal.
I've tried re-installing, removed it completley and then installed it again, but nothing helps.
The computer is running Ubuntu Oneiric Ocelot (I don't remember the version number, but i think it is 11.4)
Anyone who have experienced the same problem here?

Time to upgrade lazarus

When was the latest version released? I Downloaded it again last week, is there a newer version out now?

I did apt-get install --reinstall lazarus No change
apt-get autoremove lazarus ; apt-get install lazarus Still no difference

You need version 0.9.30-4 which is available in the quantal repository. I don't know if there is any back-porting planned.
You download the 0.9.30-4 deb.tar from http://sourceforge.net/projects/lazarus/files/.

This tarball contains a lot of deb-packages, whitch one of them do i install?
I tried lazarus-0.9.30.4_0.9.30.4-0_all.deb but that had some unresolved dependancies

EDIT: Never mind, i just did an dpkg --install * instead, witch installed all of them

But it does not install... None of the LCL-packegaes wil install, because of broken dependencies.
Just downloaded and installed fpc 2.6 but lazarus still does not install

I finally got it to install, and it is working now.
