It is indeed for the first 5 posts.
It doesn't stop spamming complete, but is filters out the first 80% of them.

The captcha is perfectly suited to this forum. I would wish more forums would have such on-topic hands-on superbly effective ways to stop spammers.

If Europe sells their USA bonds the USD will collapse. Europe can affort that given average state debts. The USA can't affort that. Just an advice...

one down 2 to go again. If you keep creating accounts though you will stay on that step for ever. As for the rest of the rant, if a simple captcha like that gives you problems well lets say I doubt you are ready to work on anything complex at the moment. I hope all your dreaams come true though and see you here weaping our asses with an easier way to keep spam out.

I must confess I don't understand what that fellow was complaining about & more importantly the way he was expressing his frustration.

Maybe we should let the captcha remain for the first 10 posts.  :D
