Interesting, I'll try KZDesktop too and see how it works for me...
UPDATE: I tried it, looks promising, but doesn't work right on my Linux laptop (LMDE installed) - I don't see the form in the drawing window and it doesn't dock Project Inspector and Code Explorer windows. Other than that, I like it better than VStudio (or Delphi 2005+), at least because of the horizontal Component Palette.
BTW. like D2005+, this interface is better on larger / highres displays, on this laptop some overlapping of windows helps with screen real estate.

I'll continue to use AnchorDocking here. However, on a larger screen the VStudio layout works nicely, so I'll try it again on a windows desktop; other than screen size, I guess the windows version might work better
