This not a problem for me, but I just want to know why. If this is a problem with the IDE or not...

After I open a dialog window (e.g.: the about or options dialog), the minimize button will not work anymore:

Linux ? If answer is yes, then it's fine. Minimize button of dialog forms depends on window manager. So, under some window managers you'll see minimize button, under others not.

I am not sure if you understood correctly. Let me explain a bit better...

I open the IDE, minimize button is there and working...
I open the options window (Menu>Options)...
I close the options window...
Minimize button of IDE is not there and will not work anymore.

Why? And yes, I'm using Linux.

I am getting that too. I never noticed it before, but I can certainly confirm it.

Debian, Laz 1.2RC2,  xfce4,  xfwm4, gtk-2

As no one is caring about this issue I will mark it as solved and act as if it never existed...
