Why exist WinClassName member of TCreateParams?

I am a beginner for lazarus.
And, I use Lazarus-0.9.31-35229-fpc-2.6.1-20120208-win32.exe

Why exist WinClassName member of TCreateParams?
Do it exist only for compatibility with delphi?

At my previous question(below link), it don't work for any purpose.

WinClassName member don't used in Lazarus/LCL sources.
It is only declared.

Again, why exist WinClassName member of TCreateParams?
