HTTP Header and X-Forwarded-For

Hi all,
Are there any way to get the X-Forwarded-For and X-Forwarded-Proto fields behind the proxy to get the proxy information? I just want to get the proxy information automatically to define ProxyHost,ProxyPort. Or another step to look at it?

AFAIK that info(X-Forwarded-For and X-Forwarded-Proto) can be stripped by proxy software(ex:squid)
