Can two text-files be "added"?

(1/1)

Elmug:
Good people,

Since text-files have are of the same type, have the same properties, can two text files be added, as for example two strings can be concatenated, and I believe one can even use the + operator?

Otherwise, what would be a neat, fast way to have T1 = T1 + T2, where T stands for 'text-file'?

Thanks for any replies!

bonmario:
Open T1, append it http://www.freepascal.org/docs-html/rtl/system/append.html and then read T2 and write T1.
