TDefaultComponentEditor error
« on: August 25, 2011, 01:51:58 pm »
Hello.

I'm trying to get started with Lazarus on OS X. However, when I try to add default event for button I get messagebox with following error:
The component editor of class TDefaultCmponenetEditor has created the error: Unable to find method. Please fix the error shown in messagewindow.

How can I develop apps normally? Please help ;)

Which Lazarus, FPC and Mac OS X versions?

Is your path to the FPC and Lazarus sources correctly set in the menu Tools->Options ?

Did you install the FPC Sources?

OS X: 10.6.8
Lazarus: 0.9.30
FPC Source: /usr/local/share/fpcsrc/
And yes, sources are installed.

I've recently installed Lazarus 0.9.30 + FPC 2.4.0 under MacOS 10.6.6 and got the same error.
The strange thing is: there is no /usr/local/share/fpcsrc/ folder, but I did a full install of fpc 2.4.0 following these instructions: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/iPhone/iPod_development

Anyone?

I got it working now. Downloaded and installed FPC version 2.4.2 and rebuilt Lazarus.
