HTTPS on Windows and OSX recommendations?
« on: July 20, 2011, 01:53:07 pm »
I'm just getting into Lazarus, and I'm looking at converting my Facebook control to FPC.

Can anyone recommend an HTTPS library to use for Windows and MacOS ? This would obviously need to use GET/POST.

My current Delphi 6 component uses IP*Works components.

You might want to check up on Synapse, although i don't know if it can work in MacOS.  If it works, please let us know.  Synapse also works on Delphi.

Synapse works in Mac OS X, but I don't know if it supports https.

There is also lNet and Indy. Those are the main 3 networking components for Object Pascal.

My internet tools (http://benibela.de/sources_en.html#internettools) support https. (using native wininet on Windows, synapse/openssl Linux+everywhere else)

I don't know if they work on Mac, but i would like to know it if you test it.
