What's HINT property of TButton for?
« on: July 20, 2011, 12:43:27 am »
I thought Hint property of a TButton (and other components) was to pop a message when the mouse hoovers over the component. But seems it is not so.

So, what is Hint for, and how used?

Also, what'd one use to pop a little message when one hoovers over the component?

Thanks!

Did you change the ShowHint property from the default of False to True?

Thanks fleshmang. That was it!

p.s. I now see that SOME properties, like "Hint" can be inherited to the parent!.....(But there is a property that enables/disables that)..Amazing!..Like I inherited crazyness from the kids.
