[solved] fpc > 2.2.4 = not working
« on: June 25, 2011, 01:00:44 am »
Hello Lazarus lovers.
I use fpc 2.2.4 and lazarus 0.9.29 and i can compile my multi os dj program without problem on mac OSX.
I have upgraded to fpc 2.4.2 and lazarus 0.9.31, it compile without problem but the prog crash at loading.
Also the compiled prog with fpc 2.4.2  is +- 6 megas and with fpc 2.2.4 it was +- 14 megas with same code  :o

Im back to fpc 2.2.4 (without alphablending  :'( ).
Or maybe there is a solution to do working fpc 2.4.2 on mac OSX.

The same code works perfectly in Windows and Linux with fpc 2.4.2.

Unless FPC 2.4.2 did not work for anyone on Mac OS X (which is not the case), I'm not sure how you expect anyone to guess what the problem is that you are experiencing. You also upgraded both FPC and Lazarus at the same time, so the problem may just as well be with Lazarus. You could at least try using the latest Lazarus release (0.9.30) instead of a development version (0.9.31).

Hello folks.
I confirm, the guilty was Lazarus 0.9.31.
With Lazarus 0.9.30 and fpc 2.4.2 it works like charms.
And now i can use alphablend with OSX.
Thanks to jmaebe and all the Lazarus staff.  :P
