Problems getting MySQL components to work

I tried to setup the MySQL LCL that comes with Lazarus, I have tried it with version 0.9.8 and 0.9.9 of Lazarus and they both give me the same message "The procedure entry point mysql_server_init could not be located in the dynamic link library libmysql.dll", I have MySQL 4.1 installed on my computer and I'm trying to install mysql4laz.lpk, My computer is running WinXP w/SP2 if any one else has got the MySQL components to work could you please tell me how you did it. thanks
