Anyone using Synapse HTTP/SMTP Server in Linux??
« on: June 17, 2011, 10:47:58 am »
Has anyone used synapse http/smtp server in linux under production environment of say 1000 hits a minute?  I'm currently using Indy 10 but it has a lot of memory leaks and Indy developer does not support FPC.

Thanks for any tip.  :)

That's a surprise because they answer my questions. Have you tried asking on the Indy web forums?

Linux Mint - Lazarus 4.0/FPC 3.2.2,
Windows - Lazarus 4.0/FPC 3.2.2

mORMot 2, PostgreSQL & MariaDB.

Synapse is simpler than Indy and it is easier than Indy to use.

Yes, I tried, Indy support is very good, but unfortunately Indy base code only works well on Windows platform.  If I were only using Windows and Delphi, I will use Indy due to better features.

I've spent many months experimenting only to come to the conclusion that I need to consider porting my applications if I want to port to nix platforms.

Now my problem is finding a replacement for idSMTPServer, there doesn't seem to be an easy replacement for this.    %)
