Target Platform: oversight?
« on: May 10, 2011, 02:32:19 am »
If you go to the Project Options and then go to "Code Generation", you will see the TARGET PLATFORM GroupBox.

In there, there are 3 pulldowns. I believe these pulldowns should JUST be pulldowns. But INSTEAD their property is set so that not only are they a pulldown, BUT THEY ALSO ALLOW YOU TO TYPE IN TEXT. So, you could type in "JUNK" and "CRAP" and then of course those are invalid settings.

Is it the intentions of Lazarus to allow OTHER text other than what's in the pulldown?

Just curious

AFAIK that's the normal behavior of a combobox and it allows one to write autocompleted value without the need to search the dropped down list.

That makes it possible to target some of the less known/debug targets of FPC :)
