Jabbering on the XMPP

hi folks.

I've looked high and low for an XMPP/jabber (client) component and, so far, I've fond nothing except a commercial package at US$159 a pop. As I'm an invalid that's a non-starter. So...

Does anyone know of a Jabber client component?
