Also it does not work currently in Linux64 (unknown reason by now).

Problem in Linux64 found. Please refer to comments in:

http://bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=18387

I think I should install webdesign
Please do :D

Hello,

And the question... How ? :) I was trying to use fppkg install webdesign (win32, fpc svn):

[webdesign] Package fcl-db <none> is not available

And of course the fcl-web is "installed" with the complete fpc, but not in any usual windows folder, also I do not have anything in the path (only windows folders).

Probably you didn't set the configuration file. Please edit %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\FreePascal\Packages\config\default, set it according to the wiki.

[Hello,

fpc 2.4.0 is not valid, you need fpc SVN version for Linux because in 2.5.1 the needed calling convention has been added for non Windows platforms so 2.4.* will not work at all.

Also it does not work currently in Linux64 (unknown reason by now).
i tried all this morning to install fpc SVN 2.5.1 without success. Is there a working procedure other than http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Getting_Lazarus#Compiling_and_installing_Lazarus? Sorry I'm new at all this.
Windows 7 Ultimate/32 bit;
Lazarus 0.9.31/Rev 33300;
FPC 2.7.1/Rev 19464;
GDB 7.0.50;
(via CodeTyphon 2.30)

Hello,

No, I had not done it :) What complex thing!, using a hidden folder ("local settings"), another hidden folder ("Application Data") and finally, I have 6 fpc's and this way I can only use one ?

Anyway, I'll try it later.

Err... I think it uses GetAppConfigFile which will of course point to that dir.

How could it update all 6 anyway? They're located in different dirs...

Hello,

Sure, bug fppkg is a command line application, so is desirable that the configuration that is needed should be "accessible" via command line. Anyway the culprit is M$ not fppkg :)

Hmmm... maybe command line option to where it reads the configuration and/or where the "repository" is located ? or is "--prefix" that option ? (Checked wiki and yes, it is).

Anyway we are getting seriously off topic.

For the sake of WebDesign goodness, it's OK. I can't wait to stop writing PHP webs.
