Breakpoints and watches problem
« on: November 28, 2010, 04:43:23 pm »
I'm using v0.9.28 with Ubuntu. I have a 250 line project which needs debugging (looks like logical problems at runtime). I can't seem to add Watches at all, only a breakpoint, so I can't examine the variables. The Add Watches option is blacked out.. Is everything OK with the debugger?
Gord.

have you configured the debugger?

Environments / Options / Debugger:

type (dropdown) must be gdb
and you must select the gdb executable in the field below.

Otherwise:
Can you open the Watches window from the "View" menu? Double-click the empty space in the window...

Solved!. I had to enter the gdb type AND access the Watch window via the View menu. The ADD WATCHES  under the Run menu is still blacked out but this doesn't matter now.
Thanks
Gord
