I need to be able to select a directory for a tdbf location but I don't see any way to do if with a normal Select Directory box.  Is there any way to do this so I can just have someone browse the local net to a server with a windows share and select it??  I guess I could just map it on each PC I install the program to but I think a much slicker way would be to just browse to the resource and select it.

Doesn't SelectDirectory display Desktop or Computer in it's hierarchy? (From your post I guess it's on a Windows machine?)
You could then browse through Network to find the share you want.
A drive-letter is not necessary to access the files.

Actually the initial programming is being done on a Linux box and then will be compiled and run from windows machines.  I thought about the possibility that a straight windows machine might already have the option to access the network and will try it today to see if it is so but I was hoping that a generic object would let me do it on either platform.

Seems that on a windows machine I have complete access to the network but on a linux box I don't.  Right now I just mounted the shared drive on the linux box and can access the database files that way.  This won't be a big problem as all of the other machines this will be running on will be windows boxes but I just would have liked to have had a more similar interface between the two just so I have an apples to apples comparison later on.
