It works OK for me. Did you use right font which contains this char?

Yes. If add heart sign in Button caption it appears correct.

Please do not use words like "Stupid" in your thread title.
It looks a bug to me, it works in the caption title, in the button and even in the edit at design time, but assigning at runtime it doesn't seam to work ... very strange. And using the same font which works in SynEdit, which is Courier New.
Maybe a bug in the conversion from utf-8 to utf-16, but a puzzling one as to why it works for texts assigned at design time.
