Title: How to use OpenCV in Lazarus?
Post by: TomTom on September 24, 2020, 02:16:35 pm
I've been searching for this but I didn't find anything that would work. I tried this https://github.com/six1/Laz_OpenCV_2 (https://github.com/six1/Laz_OpenCV_2) but I can't add this to Lazarus.
So how can I setup Lazarus 2+ to use OpenCV ?

You can check https://github.com/t-edson/LazarusOpenCV

I made it from a Delphi version and testing in linux too.

First of all you have to install OpenCV.

It might be less costly if you would explain what aspects of OpenCV you want to use ?

There are plenty of graphic wizards around here that can demonstrate how to perform specific graphic operations.

Look at this github project  : https://github.com/Laex/Delphi-OpenCV

I use it with Delphi since sereval years for very complex industrial projects.

It is really a comprehensive wrapper, active, and with current work ongoing to go to version 3.0 or above of OpenCV.

I don't know if code is compatible with FPC. My guess is yes.

I am sure the code can compile with fpc/Lazarus..

I guess a complete wrapper could be had for it.

Lets see, how much time do I have left on my chronometer ?
