IBObjects though very good is not free. If you are trying to connect to a Firebird database, try

a) SQLDb - Default option in Lazarus

b) IBX for Lazarus (port of IBExpress from Delphi)

c) Zeos Library (works in Delphi too)

They all do a great job, are cross platform and they are free!

10x a lot for the answer!

I know that IBObjects package is not free, but they give best performance (in Delphi) to work with Firebird.

I'm asking becouse if it is possible I'll be happy to use IBO in lazarus (espciali for linux) too.

I doubt if IBO would work in Linux since it is targeted towards Delphi on Windows. On the other hand, all of Lazarus' three alternatives to IBO work on all platforms Lazarus supports.
