Hello,
Why Lazarus do not take the version 5.2 of Abbrevia like in CodeTyphon ? Version 5.00 does not have the progress bar !
-
Most probably because 5.2 is an update made by the authors of CodeTyphon and the latest update in Lazarus still is 5.0.
But you can always convert PL_Abbrevia to Lazarus via the CT2Laz tool and then install the converted one in Lazarus via its lpk-file.

I doubt that. They usually only take what is available somewhere, rename the "Lazarus" to "CodeTyphon" and change some extensions.
I found V5.2 at https://sourceforge.net/projects/tpabbrevia/files/. It contains a Lazarus package and should be the same in my opinion.
There is also a version at https://github.com/TurboPack/Abbrevia with recent updates, but it is Delphi only.

First, there is no Abbrevia in Lazarus. You can find Abbrevia in OPM. If you take a look at https://packages.lazarus-ide.org you can see that home page of OPM's Abbrevia package is http://tpabbrevia.sourceforge.net/. If you inspect it further, you will find that home page mentions only 5.0, but if you take a little deeper you will find 5.2 version at this link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/tpabbrevia/files/Abbrevia%205.2.zip/download. You can test it and if you find that it works well, you can suggest replacement with a new version here: https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,34297.0.html

Finally I followed the suggestion of JanRoza and it works perfectly.
Thanks to everybody.
