@MathMan, I did not change anything with the release mode except removing -OoREGVAR from the project. $RangeChecks seems off.

Thank you very much for the new release! With 2.2.0 I was a little afraid that Lazarus development could be ceased, but I'm happy to see that development is continuing! 👍

Cross debugging used to be an issue.
But it is no longer if you use the 64 bit IDE.
- The 64bit FpDebug can handle 64 and 32 bit projects.
- GDB can do both do, but needs a helper app (which is part of the setup)

Does this also mean, that cross-compiling from Lazarus/FPC x64 to Linux x64 is possible now? I used to get "internal error 200208151" in this case.

Eh support for specific calling conventions
  hasn't made it to release yet.

Those sound like FPC features?

Then they will make it, when fpc does a release containing them.
I don't know if that will be 3.2.4 or 3.4.
Nor do I know when either of them will be released.
(You can but that query in the fpc section of the forum, or better (probably better likelihood to be seen by more fpc devs) on the fpc mail list.)

If/When either of them is released, Lazarus is likely to make a release soon after.

These directives have been in the stable fpc branch for a long time (I can’t say from which version), but they are not supported by the lazarus text editor. Parsing errors will cause irritation. I wrote a patch for this case, but it's still in the main branch.

Unfortunately I am forced to upgrade all RPi units now to Debian 11 (Jessie is end of life) and it seems that some of the executables that I create with the Jessie IDE do not run on the upgraded Bullseye units.

a) What happens if you use Lazbuild?

b) It would be worth raising failing apps as a separate thread.

c) Look back through the forum for discussion on installing Lazarus on an RPi. I for one normally build from source, but I believe that the consensus is that using the distro-provided apt is the least-good way because of the delay to getting bugfixes etc. into it.

Concerning a) : do you mean I should use Tools|Build Lazarus with Profile Normal IDE ?
Concerning b) : do you mean that apps compiled on Jessie and 1.2.4 dfsg2-1 should normally work with Bullseye?
Concerning c) : I will keep on the struggle with this

I'm getting an error to do with the constructor - when I put a breakpoint on Items:=TParameterList.Create and step over that line, Items isn't set to anything and I get a SIGSEGV error when I attempt to add to Items.

Any ideas?
