Title: Building Lazarus
Post by: James_Parsons on February 04, 2014, 04:23:05 pm
I have never built someone else's before. Is Lazarus an easy IDE to port? I want to attempt to make my own build for Haiku OS, but being that this is new to me, I need some sort of reference to start. Is there a tutorial that deals with the generics of building Lazarus? Would it be overly hard to build??

This question has EXTREMELY RELATIVE answer. It depends on how well you know the sources and the target platform and of course the availability of the widgetset. You also need to know fpc well enough.

Back to question #1
For me, it's EXTREMELY EASY. Just a single make command with some parameters for adjustment to my likings. Nevertheless, many people still find it difficult.
