The troll who was finally banned after wrecking the #fpc irc channel on Freenode for over a year has decided to begin impersonating people from the free pascal community and trolling .
Even if you want nothing to do with Irc I ask that you please register your name on Freenode to prevent the troll from pretending to be you.
The troll recently showed up using the name of forum member Slyde whom I am unacquainted with.

The Troll was completely unable to chat about pascal casually in the channel as you can see from the screenshots but later claimed in private chat that this is his code. https://pastebin.com/9nxGq9pB
Although he quickly deleted the code he had pasted I was able to get a copy of it and re paste it.
Does anyone know where this code came from? I’m curious.
He then proceeded to private message me with disrespectful irrelevant drivel and spam that had nothing to do with pascal. Yet claimed to be too busy to talk in channel...

When I politely told him to stop Private messaging me in #fpc channel. He acted exactly like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gr%C3%ADma_Wormtongue
Trying to accuse me of not appreciating his unwanted “help” after he realized that his ruse had failed.

Surely the channel could use more members who use and enjoy pascal. It’s a sad situation when a troll is more interested in our pascal channel than most Pascal users.

About the code: this poster might know: https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php?topic=47230.0

The Forums are far easier to police which is one reason why I avoid IRC completely nowadays.

Thanks for the insights that definitely looks like it could be the same code. I am not sure where the troll managed to get the entire file from. Maybe a public repository?
I will not let trolls prohibit me from using IRC and neither should anyone else. The very fact that trolls are attacking our irc channel proves how important it is as a means of communication.
Yes policing an IRC channel is time consuming and requires getting to know the members and reading all the conversations. Yes the trolls like to come back under new names pretending to be other people after being banned.
I value IRC highly and spend a lot of time there and am happy to police the channel if I am online.
I absolutely refuse to let any troll or other misinformed person decide if I can use irc to discuss pascal or even use the pascal language for that matter. There is no shortage of people trying to discredit and get rid of pascal. I will not help them!
Thank you developers again for making this free open source language possible.
