Title: iOS application
Post by: p.leeflang on August 01, 2020, 05:23:53 pm
What should I do if I want to create an IMac or Iphone application with lazarus.
In older versions of Lazarus there was the option when creating a new program to chose for iOS.
I just recently installed Lazarus on my macbook. I am new with Lazarus and Mac but I build a lot of Delphi programs. :o

You could start at the Wiki's iOS Portal (https://wiki.freepascal.org/Portal:iOS) but unfortunately a lot of the information there is somewhat dated.

As for creating an iOS application, I believe (but have never done it) that in Lazarus 2.0.10 IDE you use the Project > Project options > Config and Target to set it up for Darwin - aarch64. Apple has required 64 bit for iOs applications for some years now.

If you run into any issues, I suggest you post in the appropriate sub-forum: Lazarus » Forum » Programming » Operating Systems » iPhone/iPad (https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/board,45.0.html). I'm sure someone who has actually created iOS applications will chime in to help although I get the definite feeling that this is a road less travelled by iOS developers.
