Lazarus

Hi,
I have installed Windows 98 into a virtual machine (VirtualBox) downloaded Lazarus and installed it. The installation goes fine.
Whenever I try to start Lazarus I get a black screen (in the VM) and cannot do anything more with it I have to "reboot". Is there any known issue with that?

FYI, it runs on Windows ME (native, not virtual).

VirtualBox does not have Video Drivers for Win98, so it is not good idea to test in that way. You can use another VM that have video drivers.

Because Win98 should teoretically be supported. The screenshot would be a black image, fully black.
Does anybody, maybe have Win98 natively installed with Win98 ??

i dont think somebody in reason install win98 as ordinal use (i have winXP, just for work. My normal OS is Linux). well if you wanna try, you can do it. Install win98 and tell us what happen or, maybe, install VMware that has video driver to install in win98. Good Luck

I tested Lazarus 0.9.27 svn 20724 fpc 2.2.5 in Windows 98 first edition (15/05/1998 Native instalation) and compiled a simple project.
It seems to works fine.
