Title: Notifications and the Notification Center, "how-to" with Lazarus please?
Post by: KodeZwerg on September 23, 2022, 12:39:44 pm
Good day, i try to build this example with Lazarus https://stackoverflow.com/questions/45856979/how-to-create-toast-notification-in-delphi-with-toastgeneric (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/45856979/how-to-create-toast-notification-in-delphi-with-toastgeneric) but i am missing the WinRT Units on Lazarus.
On Delphi's side there i do have the problem that i only can get info back as long the notification is displayed on desktop, but as soon as it goes into the notification center the message is lost.

So i would like to ask for a solution about how-to with Lazarus.

I do use Lazarus 2.2.2 (rev lazarus_2_2_2-0-g537f43754c) FPC 3.2.2 x86_64-win64-win32/win64 on a Windows 10 machine.

Probably searching if some Delphi 3rd party group translated the relevant (windows 10) apis.

Or do it yourself.

Or do it yourself.
My own creation was easy but it has nothing to do with the official way for notifications.
I simply dynamic generate a small form near the clock of the taskbar, but that is not a real solution, that just show that i am not skilled enough to do it the correct way, thats why i was asking here for help on that matter.

Thanks in advance!

My remark was about translating the relevant win10 APIs yourself. Or at least find out what they exactly are ;-)
