Title: Having both SVN and Stable release?
Post by: Bart on July 09, 2007, 04:28:31 pm
Hi,

Is it possible to install Lazarus from SVN and have the stable version installed too (both on Windows and on Linux)?
If so, how would I do this.

I have 0.9.22 installed in Windows and Linuz at the moment.

the trick, don't "install", but run lazarus in the source dir of the version you want.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Care to elaborate a little?

Given the situation that I have "installed" versions in both Win32 and Linux, how would I proceed from that?

svn co http://svn.freepascal.org/svn/lazarus/trunk c:\lazarus-unstable

copy your lazarus executable to this directory

start it, and set fpc source and compiler in the environment options.

rebuild lazarus.
