Title: Qt on windows not working
Post by: fmolina on August 14, 2020, 02:58:55 am
Hi,
First attempt to use qt on windows, so forgive me if I am doing stupid mistakes. I have attached a simple project. I selected "qt" in project options LCL WidgetType, downloaded Qt4Pas from http://users.telenet.be/Jan.Van.hijfte/qtforfpc/fpcqt4.html (http://users.telenet.be/Jan.Van.hijfte/qtforfpc/fpcqt4.html), installed Qt4 from http://download.qt.io/archive/qt/4.8/4.8.7/ (http://download.qt.io/archive/qt/4.8/4.8.7/) and latest MinGW 32 bits. For simplicity, copied all required dlls to the project folder. The project builds OK, but when running I got a SIGSEGV. What can be wrong?
Thanks

I'm using Qt4 on windows for more than 10 yrs and never had such problem.
Create empty project (just one form) without extras like fpspreadsheet unit and see if that works.
EDIT: please use Qt4Pas5.dll from lazarus installation....or download it from
https://svn.freepascal.org/cgi-bin/viewvc.cgi/binaries/i386-win32/qt/?root=lazarus , don't know if Qt4Pas5.dll from Jan's webpage is correct.
