Title: Move TAChart subforum one level higher for better visiblity
Post by: wp on February 26, 2014, 11:30:47 pm
Some time ago, all postings related to TAChart have been collected in a dedicated subforum. Currently, this forum is a child of "Graphics and Multimedia"/"Graphics". Therefore, it is not visible on the main forum screen. As a consequence, users wanting to ask questions on TAChart do not see that there is a dedicated forum and post in other forums, like "General" or "LCL", scattering the TAChart-related postings all over the Lazarus forums.

To enhance visibility of the TAChart forum I'd propose to move it one level higher to become a child of "Graphics and Multimedia" where it is visible in the main forum screen.

I agree. I have absolutely no interest in graphics, and yet TAChart a top priority item for me.
Also, it seems to me that TAChart raises more discussions that everything else in the "Graphics and Multimedia" subforum, counted together.

Since no one else seems to be interested in doing what is proposed here, I would propose something else:
In the main page of the forum to change
Child Boards: Audio and Video , Graphics
to
Child Boards: Audio and Video , Graphics (http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/board,39.0.html) (TAChart (http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/board,55.0.html), BGRABitmap and LazPaint (http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/board,46.0.html))
