ACS Components Problem
« on: July 16, 2010, 03:42:04 pm »
I can not install the ACS on Windows! I downloaded the component at the following address https://lazarus-ccr.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/lazarus-ccr/components/acs

I'm going to copy in c: \ lazarus \ components \

Then I open lazarus -> Package -> Open the file from the packagec:\lazarus\components\ACS\Src\Win32\laz_acs.lpk)

Compiling: ok
Install: componenttreeview.pas(41,18) Fatal: Can't find unit ComponentTreeView used by ObjectInspector

Why?
Win10, Ubuntu and Mac
Lazarus: 2.1.0
FPC: 3.3.1

Different compiler version? Please right click messages window, copy all and hidden messages, and paste here. ComponentTreeView is an IDE unit, so it's unlikely to be not found except for some rare cases like I said.

ACS is a wrapper over several libraries. You have to have those libraries in order to make your application work fine. Try this: http://www.mtu-net.ru/aborovsky/acs/windlls.zip
If it still misses some libraries, try grep-ing the sources to see what they are.

Either the application folder or any other folder listed in environment variable PATH (or Path in Windows XP upward).

The file have been found and uploaded to a temp file hosting website. I can't remember where it is downloaded several years ago.

And there are some bugs in ACS for lazarus.

The temp link:

Hi folks,

just stumbled over the same obstacle ... I need to get ACS working on Win7/64.
The link to the Chinese DL-Site is a little bit sophisticated  :o

Maybe someone can give me a hint where to find the DLL? If it is not licence issue I can put the file on a permament dl-area.

Cheers!!!
