synapse TPingSend only as root?
«

hi all,
i'm trying to send a single ping with synapses "TPingSend", the problem is, it works only as root on my system (gentoo).
is there a way to give only this procedure root rights, or is there another way to ping with lazarus/synapse?

This is a general OS restriction. Ping is not doable from user, that's how it is on linux. the ping binary you use from terminal in linux has suid (so it also uses root).
