Update from SVN goes bad
« on: January 23, 2010, 04:30:17 pm »
My environmnent: Windows XP SP3

I've installed Lazarus-0.9.29-23217-fpc-2.3.1-20091222-win32 and was all ok.  :)
Installed the fpc 2.4.0, update the paths on lazarus and all ok. :)
Some components (zeos, sqlite3, and others) was installed too. All ok again.  :)

Now, I did full update via SVN (23535).  >:D

And this error appears:

Code: [Select]
C:\lazarus\ide\w32versioninfo.pas(363,44) Error: Incompatible type for arg no. 1: Got "AnsiString", expected "TAbstractResource"
What can I do? Re-install the old version?

Thanks for the help.

Start Lazarus.
Choose from Main-Menu <Tools><Configure "Build Lazarus..">.
Now choose <Cleanup and Build all>.
Press button <Build>.... and wait  :)
Linux Mint 19.1, Lazarus 2.0, Windows 7&10, Delphi 7, Delphi 10.3 Rio

Thanks, but didn't worked.

The line of the error (in C:\lazarus\ide\w32versioninfo.pas) is :

Code: [Select]
AResources.AddSystemResource(AList.Text);
AList is a TStringList and AddSystemResource (C:\lazarus\ideintf\projectresourcesintf.pas) has this signature:

Code: [Select]
procedure AddSystemResource(AResource: TAbstractResource); virtual; abstract;

The problem is that you have not updated lazarus properly. Some units are updated and some not in your lazarus directory. I suggest to do a new checkout "svn co http://svn.freepascal.org/svn/lazarus/trunk" and build it "make bigide".
