TPlObjectInspector/Extra design components
« on: December 06, 2012, 05:16:03 pm »
Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question..

I know ELDesign components from Delphi but the ones on Lazarus seem totally different and expecially plObjectInspector leaves me clueless where to start.

Does anyone know how to add property editors to the plObjectInspector and how they are called? Or does anyone know where these components reside and where to get examples?

Thank's for helping out or pointing me to the right direction.

Searched the wiki for "property editor", found some (not that much) info:
http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/Extending_the_IDE#Writing_property_editors => seems you can extend propedits.pp to add some property editors
AFAIR (not quite sure), the Lazarus book you can buy also has some info on it.

@BigChimp: Thanks.

I'm afraid that the components are part of the Codetyphon distribution but I'm not entirely sure. However: it looks like the code from your link it the way to go. As if the plObjectInpector uses exact that aproach.

Interesting..

Hope someone has hooked up that objectinspector component.
