IDE Object Inspector Tree View Is Gone

Sometime during my last editing session, the object inspector changed behavior and now the top 'tree view' of components is gone and replaced with a single line drop down list. The new format is a pain in the ass to find anything. Did I accidentally push some weird key sequence or something to cause this. How can I get back the original without uninstalling and reinstalling lazarus?

use the context menu of the object inspector (do so anywhere over the name/value grid) => "show component tree"
