Seems to be a Chinese-translated landing zone.

So they have an early beta of Cross-Compiling Delphi ?

No surprise that is a 'work in progress' but they did say console worked ok.

Until Embarcodero officially announce 2011, i'd consider anykind of such screenshots as Fakes. Is it announced already?

Until Embarcodero officially announce 2011, i'd consider anykind of such screenshots as Fakes. Is it announced already?

Usually they take the wraps off in april-may, and release in august-september (at least they did for 2009 and 2010, with 2010 about a month later)

I don't  think these are fakes, specially because the brasilian site has a reference (podcast of a Embarcadero employee), but they are just screenshots of the
IDE having targets for something other than VCL.   

To me, there are two new points, D2011 will use the "new" compiler (which might be limited backwards compat), and the name of the new lib changed from VCLX to UCL. It is also the first time that a source near Embarcadero confirmed the QT choice. (which is no real surprise, given the fact they had Kylix)

Yes. Also the comment that they are postponing 64bit for this makes it credible.

Does anybody know about the technical implementation of Delphi cross platform "Project X"?
I didn't find any details with a google search. I guess it is different from Kylix implementation which wasn't very successful.

as far as I know it is mostly the same. It is based on the Kylix source

Right. Now when I think of it, it may not be very successful either. Most people want to do their Linux development under Linux and Mac development under Mac.

If a developer wants to do cross-platform development (i.e. one piece of code software which runs on many target platforms), she has to choose a platform where she does the coding work. Maybe it is time now to say good bye to hard-wiring the user interface and the business logic.
