    I've seen it but for some reason I didn't tried it. IIRC this was the first one I've found and got somewhat discouraged when I learned I have to recompile the IDE to use it, later I tried the others but forgot about this one. I'll try tomorrow and let you know, thanks !!

Indeed, that's why it's worth porting since there will be no clash between the original and ported code (in case the author doesn't want to merge it).

Porting = reviving + improving IMO. Please use that, so more people can join and improve it as well. I never use git before, is there any portable client for it? I'm used to svn and I use RapidSVN portable so I can checkout/update/commit/whatever anywhere.
