Access Violation on launching lazarus
« on: March 02, 2005, 09:35:43 pm »
Hello,

after compiling lazarus and starting it, there only comes a message "Access violation" "Press OK to ignore" or "Press Cancel to stop the program"
Clicking on "OK" terminates application and writes out :

Gdk-ERROR **: BadImplementation (server does not implement operation)
  serial 241 error_code 17 request_code 20 minor_code 0
Gdk-ERROR **: BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter)
  serial 1085 error_code 4 request_code 54 minor_code 0

does anyone have an idea what can be wrong.
Latest fpc 1.9.8 and lazarus 0.9.6 is installed.
Had the same problem with last release.

thanks,
Hari

i have gdk-pixbuf 0.18.0-12 and gtk+ 1.2.10 installed.

But i think i will give up. It is too complex to install. Maybe there will be release for installation on mac sometimes....

thanks,
Hari

A OSX package is planned, until then you have to compile manually.
The future must be... Fast and OpenSource so...
Think Open and Lightning Fast!
