Built in Cross Compiling.
« on: January 13, 2010, 10:12:43 am »
Hi,

I'm developing a game under linux 64bit and the problem is to get a daily refresh of the windows build. I wasn't able to set up the cross compiling and even doing so, i would only have one additional cross platform.

My Idea is to include each cross-build into lazarus (or FPC) in the options "Project->Generate Release" (which could also generate installation .exe, .deb, .rpm and/or .zip)

Maybe that would require to get fully independent from the GNU linker - that means writing an own linker that can cross compile to each platform. (Which may additionaly speed up compilation)

What do you think about?

"Release generator" is really good idea for the Lazarus extension.

But there's no need to build such heavy functionality in the IDE itself.
