No, I do not know. Im running a linux system with mySQL 3.23. So I have not installed a mySQL 5 yet. :)
What's in a sig? Would my posting look less if it didnot have a sig? (Free after William S.) :)

anyone can post a link for download of the desired libmysql.dll?
i've downloaded the whole binaries from mysql 4.0, but they havn't the dll inside :(

The mySQL team made later versions incompatible with 4.0. But by using the 4.0 client lib you can access 4.1 servers as well.
It is very hard to keep up with the mySQL team if they change function calls from one minor version to the next.

The place for the dll's is the windows/system32 directory. Or if your dll is program specific in the directory of the program executable
