Isn't "Call stack" dockable together with "Watches"?
« on: February 13, 2025, 08:59:17 am »
I use Lazarus 3.6 and I have installed AnchorDocking and AnchorDockingDsgn. All the debuggers windows are docked except "Watches" and "Call stack" that are dockable at the main debagger's window but not together with the other debug windows (eg. "watches"). Is there a way to achieve this because is annoying.

In your docked IDE make sure to show the headers (of the (docked) windows). This can be done by right clicking on an already docked window which then shows a menu which allow to select show headers.

These headers are draggable. Drag header of the window to where you wish to place it (can be finicky to get to the exact right location because of snapping) and release.

Thanks but this doesn't allow to put window of "Local variables" together with "watches". It only allows docking in the main window. I want this window to be in the same frame (notebook) with "watches".

... but I see that the forms aren't dockable. Is there a way to do this?

You're welcome.

The trick is to have the watches tab open before dragging the standalone window. That adds more snap-locations inside the watches 'window'. You can place them next to each other horizontally (like in the picture) or vertically.

Note that sometimes the snapping goes wrong (it is more that my hands are not that steady anymore and moves the mouse just before releasing thereby switching the snap location). In which case drag the positioned window back to the main IDE window (make sure to select the correct dragbar) so that it becomes a normal window again and try again.
