Lazarus Release 3.6

The Lazarus team is glad to announce the release of Lazarus 3.6.

This is a bugfix release and was built with FPC 3.2.2.

The release is available for download on SourceForge:

Choose your CPU, OS, distro and then the "Lazarus 3.6" directory.

The Windows installers are now code signed. The signature uses the name of the Foundation:
"Stichting Programming Free Pascal & Lazarus Foundation"

Minimum requirements:

Windows:
  2k, 32 or 64bit, Qt, Qt5, Qt6 (64bit only)

FreeBSD/Linux:
  gtk 2.24 for gtk2, qt4.5 for qt, qt5.6 for qt5, Qt6.2 for qt6, 32 or 64bit.

Mac OS X:
  Cocoa (64bit) 10.12, Carbon (32bit) 10.5 to 10.14, Qt and Qt5 (32 or 64bit), Qt6 (64bit only).

Note: Since Macos Sonoma 14 debugging takes some time to start the application, especially on first start.

(for me both alternatives don't work anymore)

Edit: Besides that... here it says the snapshot versions on those locations are not even updated anymore.
So they can probably be removed from the download page for normal releases too because they don't work anymore.

Recompiling my apps with 3.6 i found no regressions so far (Windows 10 x64).
It’s very, very, very! amazing to work with Lazarus.
Big compliments to the developers and supporters!
Since version 3.0 RC1 (wherein I had urgently needed some fixes) I’d encountered no problems at all.
Whar a great development tool!
