WinCE and detect connection

Hello,

I'm editing a Wince program on arm PDA, and I want to check if the wifi connection is enabled and connected; I could try to contact a known endpoint and if it doesn't respond I could know the status, however I ask you if there are other possibilities, thanks in advance.
