Is the ability to format code gone (Ctrl+D)?
P.S. No, reinstalling fixed it.

Thank you guys, great job!
Lazarus 3.6 with FPC 3.2.2, Windows 10 — all 64-bit

Working solo on a retro-style action/adventure game (pixel art), programming the engine from scratch, using Free Pascal and SDL.

Is the ability to format code gone (Ctrl+D)?

It's working fine here, and I did nothing special to make it work.

The feature needs to have installed in Lazarus IDE a package JEDI Code Format (jcfidelazarus.lpk) which was created at 2009 and not updated then.

I think that the package is still in a fresh state (quite easyly fails at valid code parsing and then does nothing).

Warm words to people improving a great work of Lazarus and FPC tandem.

Why hasn't it been updated since 2009? I see a lot of recent commits.

It might be worth reporting your issues to the bug tracker.

My fault at not updating JCF. Admitted.
Our fault is in "About ..." window for the package:
Code: Pascal  [Select][+][-]
  1. unit JcfVersionConsts;
  2. //...
  3. interface
  4.
  5. {$I JcfGlobal.inc}
  6.
  7. interface
  8.
  9. const
  10.   PROGRAM_VERSION   = '2.44';
  11.   PROGRAM_DATE      = 'August 2009';
  12.   PROGRAM_HOME_PAGE = 'http://jedicodeformat.sourceforge.net/';
  13.   PROGRAM_SOURCEFORGE_HOME_PAGE = 'http://sourceforge.net/projects/jedicodeformat/';
  14.   PROGRAM_SVN_TRUNK = 'http://jedicodeformat.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/jedicodeformat/trunk/CodeFormat/Jcf2/';
  15.

Now I can jump into the last commit for JEDI (May 16, 2024).

By the way, it does not indicate what date this is. Therefore, it can be interpreted not as a modification date, but as a creation date.

However, the date next to the version must of course be the update date...

Perhaps it should be removed altogether, since the version number is enough. Otherwise, this date will have to be updated with each commit, which is inconvenient.
